Unfortunately, Atlas Numismatics is dealing with a lost FedEx package that contained several coins that we purchased from a London Coins auction in December 2020.

This Fedex parcel has disappeared (last scan on 14 December, 2020). Please alert members to look out for the items listed below, in case they show up.

In de nacht van 1 op 2 juni jongstleden werden tijdens een inbraak in de oudheidkamer van Egmond aan Zee de bijgevoegde gouden munten gestolen. Mochten de munten u aangeboden worden, gaarne direct contact opnemen met de eigenaar (Dhr. C. Prins – zie e-mailadres in cc) en/of de politie.

17.03.2020 - Stolen coins Canada (Reported March 6, 2020)

More than $430K worth of coins, currency stolen from dealer after show

A Vancouver dealer fell victim to a major theft after leaving the Calgary Spring Coin Show & Money Fair this past weekend.

Joe Iorio, owner of J&M Coin and Jewellery, was checking in at the Calgary airport on March 1 when his bags were stolen, according to a notice issued by the Canadian Association of Numismatic Dealers (CAND) on March 3. Altogether, a total of $430,310 worth of numismatic material, including coins, paper money and bullion, was stolen.

Le mode opératoire ressemble à celui du vol de la bourse de Dombasle, en janvier dernier.

Une plainte a été déposée au commissariat de Lunéville.

26.01.2020 - Robbery after Verona Coin show (First Reported 11.26.2019)

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
am Sonntag, dem 24.11.2019 nach der Münzbörse “Veronafil” in Verona, Italien, wurde Herr Nuredin Malecka der Firma “Studio Numismatico Skanderbeg” in Fabriano (Italien) bei einem Halt mit seinem Auto an einem Imbiß überfallen. Alles was er dabei hatte, wurde gestohlen. Es handelt sich um sehr viele Münze, zum großen Teil Albanien.
In der Anlage sind einige Bilder. Zusätzlich z. B. 1 Set im Originaletui und Zertifikat mit  500 Leke, 200 Euro 2015 Vatikan Gold mit einem Fleck auf der Portraitseite, viele 50 Leke 1988 Albanien 10 oz mit Zertifikat, viele Probeserien von albanisches Papiergeld 1964 und 1976, viele Leke-Münzen 1992, die komplette Leke Serie 1965 und vieles mehr.

Dear Sirs,
Back on Sunday, November 24, 2019, after the “Veronafil” coin fair in Verona, Italy, Mr. Nuredin Malecka of the “Studio Numismatico Skanderbeg” company in Fabriano (Italy) was victim of a robbery during a stop with his car for a snack. Everything he had with him was stolen. It was a lot of coin, for the most part Albania.
Please find attached some pictures. Furthemore e.g. 1 set in the original box and with certificate with 500 Leke, 200 Euro 2015 Vatican gold with a spot on the portrait side, many 50 Leke 1988 Albania 10 oz with certificate, many specimen series of Albanian paper money 1964 and 1976, many Leke coins 1992, the complete Leke series 1965 and much more.
