HELVETII.
AV-Stater.
Av.: Laureate head of Apollo to r.
Rv.: Biga to r., horses galopping, below, trident.

BoC: 19/1, 1994, p.2/3.
FAKE – This counterfeit of bold style was offered as an early Celtic imitation, in fact as the earliest stater of the Helvetii. The style is neiher Greek nor Celtic, the surfaces are too shiny and the reverse is far too concave.
