Published in the IBSCC Bulletin, Vol. 13, No. 1, 1988. Pages 21 and 22 illustrate a group of false Hadrian Aurei of this type from Jordan. The example in our auction was identical to these, and even had the slightly rough surface as if it had been a water find.
