Domitianus Caesar, 81-96 A.D.
AV-Aureus.
Av.: DOMITIANVSCAESAR AVG P Laureate head to r.
Rv.: COS V She-wolf and twins, below boat.
7,48 g. c. 18,5 mm.
Ref.: cf. BMC pl. 7,7.
BoC: 20/1, 1995, p. 18.
FAKE – The weight of this counterfeit is somewhat high though not impossible. The reverse field is too flat and the portrait is more of a later denarius than of an aureus of this period.
